Hannah Applebee is a Dutch-American poet and essayist writing through memory, queer identity, and the gray spaces between love and harm. She received her B.A. in Writing and B.S. in Psychology from Grand Valley State University and was awarded the Kenneth R. Venderbush Award upon graduation. She has served as Assistant Editor for The Olive Tree Collection and Poetry Editor and Social Media Director for fishladder. Her work has appeared in fishladder, InWriting, and has placed in the GVSU AWP Intro Awards. She loves Michigan summers, late-night writing sessions, and finding the beauty in small, ordinary moments.
